CLEANING STONE TOPS.
Cleaning your Granite or Quartzite no matter the finish is simple, mix some warm water and a mild detergent and wipe your counters clean. A mild detergent is recommended so you do not damage the finish of the stone.
SEAL YOUR STONE.
The sealing stone is simple, it takes about 10 mins to apply. Sealing your Granite protects it from staining too quickly and gives you more time to clean up spills and accidents.
Apply the sealer, wait 10 mins and then with a new dry cloth wipe the excess sealer off, you can apply a few coats following the same process.
HEAT RESISTANT.
Stone is naturally heat resistant up to approximately 550 degrees Celcius. This figure may vary depending on the type of stone.
ACID-RESISTANT.
Granites and Quartzites are resistant to lighter acids like lemon juice and vinegar. Harsh chemicals are never recommended for natural stones.
SCRATCH-RESISTANT.
Granite and Quartzite are very hardy stones and are very scratch-resistant, but we always recommend using a beautiful stone cutting board for your prep ork in the kitchen.
ANTI-BACTERIAL.
Stone is naturally resistant to bacteria, but this does not mean it is impervious to germs. Regularly sealing the stone helps the surface resist liquids that can harbor bacteria.
